The Hoyt House was an imposing residence in Pipestone Township and the grounds also housed a log cabin used as a museum.  After the death of Mr. And Mrs. Hoyt, the cabin was sold and the museum dispersed, but their monument in the Caldwell Cemetery is in the shape of the log cabin.
